Slavery and Human Rights.

Modern Slavery: Despite being outlawed worldwide, forms of modern slavery, including forced labour, human trafficking, and debt bondage, still exist. These practices are serious human rights abuses that exploit individuals, often the most vulnerable, and deny them their basic freedoms and dignity.

Human Rights Framework: The international community has established various human rights frameworks to combat these abuses. For instance, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights explicitly prohibit slavery and servitude. Additionally, the International Labour Organization (ILO) has conventions aimed at eradicating forced labour.

Challenges and Efforts: Addressing modern slavery involves complex challenges, including legal enforcement, economic inequality, and political will. Efforts to combat it include strengthening international cooperation, enhancing victim support services, and increasing public awareness.
